My name is Madison and I live in the San Francisco Bay Area with my husband, Mark, two of my three stepchildren (Yuli, 13 and Brandon,19) and my two dogs, two fire-bellied toads, and three goldfish. I just completed law school and the CA Bar Exam and am waiting for my results. My husband works at a hospital about 30 miles away and our daughter goes to a local private school. We love to travel in our travel trailer every weekend that we can get the chance, as well as take day trips to local attractions when we can’t get away for the whole weekend.
I wanted to connect with other people who live in high income areas because while online tips on double couponing and reducing grocery bills are great, they just do not pertain to this area. No one double coupons in Northern California and milk is set at $3 a gallon or more. The food, fuel, and housing costs are so high, that it seems like the only options are to increase income. I was also diagnosed as Celiac last year so I am trying to not increase our grocery bill with too many specialty gluten free foods. While I am trying to do that by obtaining our law license, we have been living off on one income in the Bay Area for the last four years. I hope to be able to share our tips and tricks for maintaining a lifestyle in the Bay Area or similar metro areas, but most importantly I want to create a community where everyone can share their ideas.
At the very least, we can all Muddle Through Together!
